PARISH PRIEST
The Rev'd Fr. Andrew Yaremko was ordained to the priesthood on June 29, 2026, and was appointed Pastoral Administrator of St. Benedict Parish, effective July 1, 2026.
Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Father Andrew is the third of four sons in a close-knit Catholic family. He first served at the altar at the age of seven at St. Joseph's Parish, where the example of his parish priests fostered a lifelong love for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and service to the Church.
Drawn to the beauty and order of God's creation, Father Andrew studied at York University, earning a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a minor in Music, while concurrently completing a Bachelor of Education. Throughout his studies, he continued to discern a call to the priesthood, eventually entering seminary formation in Toronto.
During this time, Father Andrew discovered the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter and found a spiritual home in its reverent liturgy and rich Anglican patrimony. He later completed a Master of Divinity through the Toronto School of Theology and served for two years at St. Thomas More Parish in Toronto before continuing his priestly formation at St. Mary's Seminary in Houston.
Ordained to the transitional diaconate on May 28, 2025, Father Andrew was ordained a priest on June 29, 2026. He now begins his ministry at St. Benedict Parish, where he looks forward to serving the faithful through the celebration of the sacred liturgy, the preaching of the Gospel, and the pastoral care of the parish community.
