OUR COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
PARISH PRIEST
The V. Rev'd Fr. Adrian Martens is the Parochial Administrator pro tempore at St. Benedict’s. He grew up and currently lives in Calgary where he continues work for the Diocese of Calgary. He earned a BA in Theology (Hons.) at the Prairie College in Three Hills Alberta, and an MA from Durham University (St. John's College) in England. He also completed a course of study and formation for the Catholic Priesthood in the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. Fr. Martens was ordained to the Priesthood on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul in 2017. Father is married to Maira and they have five wonderful children.


PARISH SECRETARY
Mr. Luke Gervais is the secretary of St. Benedict's. He and his family, including his wife Rosemary and their nine children, live on a hobby farm outside of the city. They found the Ordinariate and quickly fell in love with its liturgical patrimony & with the community! Luke is an instituted Acolyte for the Ordinariate. He has diplomas in Sacred Studies and Ministry & Leadership from the John Paul II Bible School, and has begun a BA in Theology. He works during the week as a commercial real estate agent.
TREASURER
Mr. Ben Connelly serves as the Treasurer of St. Benedict’s. Originally from Ontario, he moved west and has been an active member of the parish ever since. He previously worked in supply chain management and is now a full-time student at NAIT studying carpentry. Since taking on the role of Treasurer, he has quickly stepped into the responsibilities with diligence and care. In addition to his studies, he sings in the parish choir and is grateful to be part of the life and fellowship of the church community.
